Comprehensive Eye Exams

The American Optometric Association recommends a comprehensive eye exam every 1-2 years for all adults even if you have no problems with your vision. We recommend that children have an eye exam before starting kindergarten or sooner if any eye problems are noted.

Diabetic Eye Exams

Monitoring the health of the retina is an extremely important part of the care for a patient with diabetes. Diabetic retinopathy is a complication of diabetes caused by damage to the small blood vessels of the retina, which can cause vision loss and potentially blindness. Recent studies have shown that almost one third of adults over age 40 with diabetes have diabetic retinopathy. Early detection of damage to the retina from diabetes is important and can be accomplished with a comprehensive eye exam.

Problem Visits

Whether you have a red painful eye, new flashes or floaters, or a metallic foreign body in your eye, we can see you for emergency and problem visits to help you feel better quickly.

Contact Lens Evaluations

Contact lens wear is an excellent option to correct your vision and give you greater flexibility. A contact lens is a medical device that needs to be properly fit to keep your eyes healthy. If you are new to contact lens wear, we will teach you how to properly wear and care for your contact lenses. If you are an existing wearer, we will ensure that you are fit in the best contacts for your visual needs and lifestyle.

Specialty Contact Lens Fittings

Corneal conditions such as keratoconus reduce the quality of vision and thus the quality of life. When glasses or standard contact lenses cannot provide acceptable vision, specialty contact lenses are an excellent option to maximize the quality of your vision. Scleral lenses are the best rigid lens design that can provide optimal vision and comfort.
